How to cook lentils:
1.Rinse the lentils with clean water 1-2 times.
2.Add enough water to cover the lentils and soak for 30 minutes to soften.
For soups/stews, soak overnight.
3.Rinse again with clean water.
4.For cooking, use 3 cups of water to 1 cup of lentils. Cook over medium heat.
5.Lentils will not absorb excess water, so if the water overflows,
pour off some of the water but ensure enough water remains to avoid burning the lentils.
6.Once the lentils are cooked and softened to your liking, strain and let them drain.
7.Use the cooked lentils in your desired recipes or store them in an
airtight container in the fridge for later meals.
