How to cook red lentils:
1.Rinse with clean water 1-2 times.
2.Add enough water to completely cover the lentils.
Soak for 30 minutes to soften.
For soups or stews, soak overnight.
3.Rinse again with clean water once more.
4.Prepare for boiling.
Use 3 cups of water for every 1 cup of red lentils.
Boil over medium heat consistently.
1.Red lentils do not absorb excess water.
If the water boils over, pour out some of the water carefully.
But ensure there is still enough water,
as too little water may cause the lentils to break apart from the heat.
2.Once the lentils are cooked and softened as desired,
drain them using a strainer and let them dry.
3.You can then use the cooked lentils in any recipe,
or pack them in vacuum-sealed containers and refrigerate
for use in future meals.
